You know you have church planter's kids when...

Tonight we had the joy of visiting Lake Highlands Baptist Church, our church home prior to coming to Granbury to plant StoneWater. Those were truly some of our happiest years as Jeremy served in the youth ministry, I was pregnant and gave birth to both kids, and developed so many lasting friendships and mentorships. As we showed the kids around the church, here are two profound thoughts from our children that made us laugh out loud.

Upon inspection of the worship area, which is a gorgeous room with chandeliers, stage filled with instruments, and beautiful windows, Hudson remarks, "Why do they leave the guitars out? When are they going to tear down?" Not impressed with the beauty, just trying to figure out why they leave all the stuff out, after all, he's never seen it done that way before!

Jenna, when asked how she liked children's church replies, "Oh, they didn't have kid's church. They had school." We asked what she meant. "They sit at tables to learn, like at school, not like at church." Again, she's never sat at a table to do a lesson at church before.

Those comments were too funny!! I am copying them to forward onto our current pastor. Our church was a "church plant" over 15 years ago, so they can understand these thoughts from your kids! Hope you guys are doing well!
